Background

MRGX2 is highly similar to other MRG receptors. Recently it has been shown that MrgX2 is a high potency cortistatin receptor expressed in dorsal root ganglion MRGX2 expression has been documented in the dorsal root ganglion, colon, and small intestine. ESTs for MRGX2 have been identified in human brain (medulla) and cancer (erythroleukemia) libraries.
