• Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 60kDa band in human placenta and kidney lysates at 1ug/ml. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the predicted size of approx. 96kDda according to NP_066564. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?

Background

KAT2A, or GCN5, is a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that functions primarily as a transcriptional activator. It alsofunctions as a repressor of NF-kappa-B (see MIM 164011) by promoting ubiquitination of the NF-kappa-B subunit RELA(MIM 164014) in a HAT-independent manner (Mao et al., 2009 (PubMed 19339690)).(supplied by OMIM)
