Integrin alpha 11 Antibody (396214) [Unconjugated]

Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line and human heart tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Human/Mouse Integrin alpha 11 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4235) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for Integrin alpha 11 at approximately 150 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background

Integrin alpha 11 (ITGA11) is a 150 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that associates with the Integrin beta 1/CD29 chain to form a receptor for collagen I and IX. ITGA11 is most highly expressed in adult cardiac and uterine smooth muscle and developing myocytes. The extracellular region contains seven FG-GAP repeats and one VWF‑C domain. Within the extracellular domain, human and mouse ITGA11 share 90% aa sequence identity.
