Background

GPR52 is a class-A orphan G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that is highly expressed in the brain and represents a promising therapeutic target for the treatment of several neuropsychiatric disorders, including Huntington's disease and schizophrenia. GPR52 is a 41KDa seven-transmembrane domain protein (7TM). Mouse and human sequences are 96% identical over the full protein.
