Notes

Reconstitute in 0.1 ml of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20C for higher stability or at 4C with an appropriate antibacterial agent. Glycerol (1:1) may be added for additional stability.

Background

This protein belongs to the BTG family and the unprocessed precursor is 206 amino acids long with a predicted molecular weight of 24KDa. This familly of proteins are structurally related and show antiproliferative activity. BTG4 protein is able to induce G1 arrest in the cell cycle. It is highly expressed in testis and in olfactory epithelium.
