Immunoprecipitation (IP) is a common research technique used to precipitate a specific protein (or protein complex) of interest out of a heterogeneous lysate. The concept of precipitating proteins out of solution is often called a "pull-down". There are a variety of methods to achieve immunoprecipitation, the most common of which uses antibodies bound to magnetic or agarose beads. This process can be used to isolate and concentrate a particular protein or complex from a sample containing many thousands of different proteins, and is often used to study protein-protein interactions through Co-IP experiments.

![Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: Endoglin/CD105 Antibody (MJ7/18) [NB100-77666] - Analysis of a FFPE mouse ductus deference using a 1:50 dilution of CD105 antibody (clone MJ7/18) on a Bond Rx autostainer (Leica Biosystems). The assay involved 20 minutes of heat induced antigen retrieval (HIER) using 10mM sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) and endogenous peroxidase quenching with peroxide block.
