• Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:4000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 37kDa band in lysates of cell lines A431, A549, HEK293, HepG2, after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 52.9kDa according to NP_055563.1. The 37kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported?

Background

The SNX17 gene encodes a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family are involved in intracellular trafficking, and contain a phox (PX) domain, which is a phosphoinositide binding domain. The protein contains a B41 domain, but does not contain a coiled coil region, like some family members. This protein interacts with the cytoplasmic domain of P-selectin, and may function in the intracellular trafficking of P-selectin.
