Background

Axotrophin is expressed widely in the cortex, hippocampus, purkinje and granule cells of the cerebellum (rodent brain). Axotrophin appears to play a role in corpus callosum differentiation and GDNF dependent sensory neuron survival in the adult spinal cord.
