Background

CECR1, also known as Cat Eye Syndrome Chromosome Region, Candidate 1, belongs to the adenosine and AMP deaminases family. It acts as a growth factor and it thought to have a role in the regulation of cell differentiation and proliferation. CECR1 has been studied in relation to cat eye syndrome.
