Western Blot: UAP1 Antibody [NBP2-59140] - Detection of human and mouse UAP1 by western blot. Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HeLa, 293T, Jurkat, mouse TCMK-1, and mouse NIH3T3 cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-UAP1 antibody NBP2-59140 used for WB at 1:1000. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Immunoprecipitation: UAP1 Antibody [NBP2-59140] - Detection of human UAP1 by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-UAP1 antibody NBP2-59140 used for IP at 20 ul per reaction. UAP1 was also immunoprecipitated by another rabbit anti-UAP1 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated UAP1, NBP2-59140 was used at 1:100. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background

Converts UDP and GlcNAc-1-P into UDP-GlcNAc, and UDP and GalNAc-1-P into UDP-GalNAc. Isoform AGX1 has 2 to 3 times higher activity towards GalNAc-1-P, while isoform AGX2 has 8 times more activity towards GlcNAc-1-P
