• Application Notes: IHC: NBP1-02359 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity.

Background

Prostaglandin E Receptor EP2 is a member of the Prostanoid Receptor subfamily. Along with several other receptor subtypes (EP1, EP3, and EP4), it mediates the diverse biological effects of Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). PGE2 has been implicated in numerous processes, including immune response modulation, male erectile function, induction of labor, cervical cancer, control of blood pressure, asthma, and more recently, Alzheimer's Disease.
