Background
The integral membrane protein encoded by this gene is a lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptor from a group known as EDG receptors. These receptors are members of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. Utilized by LPA for cell signaling, EDG receptors mediate diverse biologic functions, including proliferation, platelet aggregation, smooth muscle contraction, inhibition of neuroblastoma cell differentiation, chemotaxis, and tumor cell invasion. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene [provided by RefSeq]

-
Can this antibody be used for IF staining? If yes, could you give me the protocol particularly for this antibody? What is the purpose for tagging GST? What is meaning of GST?
- This antibody has not been verified in ICC-IF staining yet, and so far, we have tested it only in ELISA. If you would like to perform an ICC-IF experiment and submit a review on this product, you can take advantage of our Innovator's Reward program. Our general ICC-IF protocol may be here. GST stands for Glutathione S-transferase. This tag is added to the recombinant protein for quality assurance testing. The monoclonal antibody you have selected is made to the partial recombinant EDG2 protein with a GST tag attached, but the antibody itself will not have the tag sequence incorporated and therefore will not detect this tag.
