Western Blot: Hexokinase Type III Antibody [NBP2-16816] - Various whole cell extracts (30 ug) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with Hexokinase III antibody [C1C3-2] diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (NBP2-19301) was used to detect the primary antibody.

Background

Hexokinases phosphorylate glucose to produce glucose-6-phosphate, thus committing glucose to the glycolytic pathway. This gene encodes hexokinase 3. Similar to hexokinases 1 and 2, this allosteric enzyme is inhibited by its product glucose-6-phosphate. [provided by RefSeq]
