• Application Notes: IHC: NBP1-02365 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity.

Background

GPR1 is an Orphan-A GPCR with an unknown ligand. GPR1 was identified in a search for genes responsible for mediating brain reward and may have a role in drug addiction. It has also been shown to act as an HIV coreceptor in kidney mesangial cells (Tokizawa et al., 2000).
