• Application Notes: WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 37 kDa band in human duodenum, pancreas and placenta lysates after 0.3 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 107 kDa band according to NP_150296.3. The 37 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background

Induces translational repression through 28S ribosomal RNA cleavage in response to ER stress. Pro-apoptotic. Appears to play no role in the unfolded-protein response, unlike closely related proteins
