Background
EBI2 is an Orphan-A GPCR with an unknown ligand. It has a probable role as a mediator of EBV effects on B-lymphocyte and lymphoid tissues but not in T-lymphocyte or peripheral-blood T lymphocytes. EBI2 expression has been documented in B-lymphocyte cell lines and in lymphoid and pulmonary tissues. ESTs have been isolated from normal blood, breast, vessel, thymus, tonsil, lymph, ear, and fetal lung, testis, and B-cell libraries. ESTs have also been isolated from blood, bone marrow, breast, ear, ganglion, lung, lymph node, placenta, thymus, tonsil, and vessel cancer libraries.

-
Has the anti-EBI2 antibody cat.# NLS46 been tested for flow cytometry? We have generated transfectants expressing human EBI2 (and a GFP reporter) and would be keen on testing it if this has not been done. Would you be able to provide us with a small sample?
- We have not tested this antibody in FLOW application yet, but I do not see any reason why it should not work in FLOW. In fact, as the immunogen for this antibody corresponds to the extracellular domain of the target protein and the antibody performed well in IHC-P, I strongly believe that the antibody must work in FLOW application also. We cannot guarantee its FLOW application, however, you may optimize the best suitable conditions for the assay from your own testing, and we would be more than happy to provide you our troubleshooting/technical feedback if you come up with any problems in generating your desired outcome. If you would be interested in testing this novel application, please take a look at our Innovator's Reward program.
