DHX30 (DEAH-box polypeptide 30) is a member of the DEAD box family of proteins that possesses several conserved motifs which include the highly conserved DEAD (Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp) amino acid sequence motif. The major activity of DEAD box proteins is to function as ATP-dependent RNA helicases. As helicases, DEAD proteins play an important role in all aspects of RNA metabolism and function which include pre-mRNA splicing, RNA synthesis, RNA degradation, RNA export, RNA translation, RNA secondary structure formation, ribosome biogenesis, and the assembly of RNP complexes. DHX30 has been implicated to be involved in the packaging of HIV-1 viral RNA and HIV-1 replication.

1:100 in 1X PBS/1% BSA/0.3% Triton X-100, 16 hours 4C. Staining didn't show localization to mitochondria, looked nuclear/throughout cell. There are other validated antibodies for immunofluorescence. This antibody was purchased for western blot, and I wanted to test it for immunofluorescence.

Have you ever tried this antibody on immunohistochemistry on paraffin section?
We have not yet tested this product for IHC-P staining. If it had been tested and confirmed it would be listed, and if it had been tested and confirmed not to work, or reported not to work by a customer, we would list the applications as IHC-P (-). If you would like to test this one in the new application and provide feedback on the results I can recommend our Innovators Reward Program.
