Western Blot: CGI-16 Antibody [NBP2-76376] - Samples: Whole cell lysate (50 ug) from HeLa, HEK293T, and Jurkat cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ACOT9 antibody NBP2-76376 used for WB at 1:1000. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Immunoprecipitation: CGI-16 Antibody [NBP2-76376] - Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ACOT9 antibody NBP2-76376 used for IP at 100 ul per reaction. ACOT9 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ACOT9 antibody NBP2-76377. For blotting immunoprecipitated ACOT9, NBP2-76376 was used at 1:100. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background

ACOT9 is an acyl-CoA thioesterase and a member of a group of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of acyl-CoAs to the free fatty acid and coenzyme A (CoASH), providing the potential to regulate intracellular levels of acyl-CoAs, free fatty acids and CoASH. Active on long chain acyl-CoAs.
