ANKRD28 Antibody

Western Blot: ANKRD28 Antibody [NB100-41419] - Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells (5, 15 and 50 mcg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20 percent of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 mcg) cells. NB100-41419 used for WB at 0.02 mug/ml (A) and 1 mug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 mcg/mg lysate (B). ANKRD28/PITK was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ANKRD28/PITK antibody NB100-41420, which recognizes a downstream epitope.

Background

PITK was previously identified as a novel PP1 targeting subunit implicated in modulating the phosphorylation of the transcriptional regulator heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K (hnRNP K). Through the phosphorylation of PITK at S1013 and S1017 (residues that flank or reside within a PP1C-binding motif), the binding of the PP1 catalytic subunit to PITK, and subsequently the activity of the holoenzyme, are discretely controlled.
