alpha-1A Adrenergic R/ADRA1A Antibody (518508) [Unconjugated]

Western blot shows lysates of HEK293T human embryonic kidney cell line either mock transfected or transfected with human a-1 Adrenergic R/ADRA1A. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human a-1 Adrenergic R/ADRA1A Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10298) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF018). A specific band was detected for a-1 Adrenergic R/ADRA1A at approximately 80 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with either (A) human a-1 Adrenergic R/ADRA1A or (B) irrelevant protein and eGFP was stained with Mouse Anti-Human a-1 Adrenergic R/ADRA1A Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10298) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Background

ADRA1A (formerly known as alpha 1-C adrenergic receptor) is an alpha-adrenergic receptor which is mediated by G(q) and G(11) proteins. Alpha-1 Adrenoreceptors play an important role in mediating human prostatic smooth muscle contraction. Antagonists of ADRA1A include tamsulosin and silodosin which treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.
