Background

The PHF3 gene encodes a PHD finger protein 3 that in isoform 1 is 2,039 amino acids long at 229 kDA and in isoform 2 is 1,951 amino acids long at 219 kDA. PHF3 interacts with genes PHB, WNK1, YWHAZ, YWHAG, and NR3C1. It has been linked to anaplastic astrocytoma and glioblastoma.
