• Description: This antibody detects a single band of approximately 87.5kDa in PC- NORB samples. The antibody also labels a higher MW bands (91kDa), its identity is not known.
• Immunogen: Synthetic peptides corresponding to unique epitope on NORB. The peptide sequence (EETASHYRMAALEQCLSEP) was unique to NORB. The NORB peptide was covalently modified post-synthetically covalently modified to achieve desired antigenicity.

Background

Neurochondrin encodes a leucine-rich cytoplasmic protein, which is highly similar to a mouse protein that negatively regulates Ca/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II phosphorylation and may be essential for spatial learning processes. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described.
