Background

MT3, Metallothionein 3, binds heavy metals. It contains three zinc and three copper atoms per polypeptide chain and only a negligible amount of cadmium. MT3 inhibits survival and neurite formation of cortical neurons in vitro.

1. We are interested in the Metallothionein-3 antibody, cat # 24760002. The datasheet says it has not been tested in Western blot, but we are interested in using it in this application. Could you please tell me if the antibody has been tested in western blot and will it work using this application?
   • Unfortunately we have not tested this product in Western Blot, which is why it is not listed. If we had tested and confirmed it not to work in an application we would list WB (-) on the datasheet. Therefore we cannot guarantee this product in that application, but suspect it will work since it has had success in IHC and ELISA.
