Reactivity for DOG1/TMEM16A may aid in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors, including PDGFRA mutants that fail to express c-kit antigen, and lead to appropriate treatment with imatinib mesylate, an inhibitor of the c-kit tyrosine kinase.

Optimal incubation conditions should be determined by the user based upon the fixation conditions and staining system employed. Formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections require high temperature antigen unmasking with 10mM EDTA buffer, pH 8.0 prior to immunostaining. This product has a prediluted size available. If a 6mL or 7mL pre-diluted size is purchased this product can be used Neat (without further dilution). Use recommended dilution for the concentrated vials only.
