Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MRPS23 antibody NBP3-30117 (lot NBP3-30117-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. MRPS23 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-MRPS23.. For blotting immunoprecipitated MRPS23, A305-131A was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background

MRPS23, or Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein S23, consists of a 190 amino acid isoform that is 22 kDa, and is involved in the manufacture of proteins within the mitochondria. MRPS23 is not currently being used in any disease research. The protein is thought to be involved in translation, and interacts with ICT1, ATG12, SRRM2, AGO1, and ATP5C1.
