Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: MRPS21 Antibody [NBP2-98522] - Immunofluorescence staining of MRPS21 in SHSY5Y cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with NBP2-98522 antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)594-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (red) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.

Background

MRPS21, also known as Mitochondrial Ribosomal Protein S21, consists of a 87 amino acid isoform that is 11 kDa, and is involved in the process of mitochondrial protein synthesis. There is no current disease research being conducted on MRPS21. The protein is not linked to any pathways, though it does interact with a variety of other proteins, including ICT1, USP42, USP44, ESR2, and SLX4.
