Western Blot: GRK2 Antibody (ST05-60) [NBP2-67542] - Analysis of GRK2 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-GRK2 antibody at 1/500 dilution. Lane 1: THP-1 cell lysate Lane 2: HL-60 cell lysate Lysates/proteins at 10 ug/Lane. Predicted band size: 80 kDa Observed band size: 75 kDa Exposure time: 1 minute; 8% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody at 1/500 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:300,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Background

Adrenergic Receptor beta Kinase 1 (ADRBK1), also known as GRK2, is a member of the G-protein receptor kinase family. A ubiquitous cytosolic enzyme, GRK-2 specifically phosphorylates the beta-2-adrenergic receptor and appears to mediate agonist-specific desensitization observed under high agonist concentrations. Defects in GRK2 coupling with G-protein receptors may lead to heart failure.
