GPR107 Antibody (1040717) [Unconjugated]

Western blot shows lysates of non-boiled AGS human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line, KATO‑III human gastric carcinoma cell line, and PANC‑1 human pancreatic carcinoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human GPR107 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10926) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (HAF018). A specific band was detected for GPR107 at approximately 80 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Western Blot Buffer Group 1.

Background

Human GPR107 is an ‘orphan' 7-transmembrane receptor from the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family of proteins.

GPR107 has been proposed to act as a receptor for Neuronostatin, a peptide derived from the somatostatin/SST precursor. Neuronostatin acts via GPR107 to increase cAMP-independent PKA phosphorylation and proglucagon mRNA accumulation in pancreatic alpha -cells.
