Prominent staining for microvascular aneurisms was detected by staining with antibodies to C9 (B, C), Fibronectin (FN, E), ApoE (F) & PRELP (G). The same treatment of vascular BM whole mounts from non-diabetic eyes did not show staining for these proteins (D).
