Immunoprecipitation: Neurochondrin Antibody [NBP2-59115] - Detection of human NCDN by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-NCDN antibody A305-NBP2-59115 used for IP at 8 ul per reaction. NCDN was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-NCDN antibody. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.

Background

Neurochondrin encodes a leucine-rich cytoplasmic protein, which is highly similar to a mouse protein that negatively regulates Ca/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II phosphorylation and may be essential for spatial learning processes. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described.
