Chromatin Immunoprecipitation: Histone H2B Antibody (1B3F12/A9) [NBP2-54770] - ChIP using anti-Ubiquitinated Histone H2B (Lys123) [1B3F12/A9]. Gcn5 regulates H2Bub and H3K9ac at several loci. ChIP-qPCR analysis of H2Bub ...read more
This antibody was made against yeast monoubiquityl histone H2B and does not specifically reast with H2B or ubiquitin on other proteins. It detects endogenous levels of H2BK123ub1 in whole cell extracts and detects increased levels of H2BK123ub1 on native or tagged histoned H2B.
Ub-polypeptide antigen based on amino acids 115 - 130 of yeast H2B
Protein G purified

C-terminus monoubiquitination of histone H2B acts as a signal for downstream processes such as gene regulation, genome packaging, histone modification crosstalk, and DNA repair. How the ubiquitination levels are controlled and how the Ub signal is translated to downstream effects is poorly understood. An antibody that detects K123 monoubiquitinated yeast H2B, homologue to human H2B K120, will enable research to discover the fundamental principles of the regulation and function of monoubiquitination of H2B. The antibody is developed using an ubiquitin-polypeptide antigen based on the amino-acids 115-130 of the yeast H2B protein, linked by a proteolytically stable bond.
