Background

CDH24, also known as Cadherin-24, has a 819 amino acid long isoform that is 88 kDa and a short 781 amino acid isoform that is approx. 84 kDa as well as a third isoform that is 42 kDa, is located in the cell membrane and is involved in interacting with themselves to contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. This process occurs in several pathways such as the cell-cell junction organization and the WNT Signaling. CDH24 is also known as Cadherin 24, Type 2 and Cadherin-Like 24.
