Lysate Details for ACBD4
HEK293T cells in 10-cm dishes were transiently transfected with a non-lipid polymer transfection reagent specially designed and manufactured for large volume DNA transfection. Transfected cells were cultured for 48hrs before collection. The cells were lysed in modified RIPA buffer (25mM Tris-HCl pH7.6, 150mM NaCl, 1% NP-40, 1mM EDTA, 1xProteinase inhibitor cocktail mix, 1mM PMSF and 1mM Na3VO4, and then centrifuged to clarify the lysate. Protein concentration was measured by BCA protein assay kit. This product is manufactured by and sold under license from OriGene Technologies and its use is limited solely for research purposes.
Alternate Names for ACBD4 Overexpression Lysate (Native)
- acyl-CoA binding domain containing 4
- acyl-CoA-binding domain-containing protein 4
- acyl-Coenzyme A binding domain containing 4
This gene encodes a member of the acyl-coenzyme A binding domain containing protein family. All family members contain the conserved acyl-Coenzyme A binding domain, which binds acyl-CoA thiol esters. They are thought to play roles in acyl-CoA dependent lipid metabolism. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]. Transcript Variant: This variant (2) differs in the 5' UTR and uses an alternate splice site in the 3' coding region, compared to variant 1, resulting in a shorter protein (isoform 2) with a distinct C-terminus, compared to isoform 1. Variants 2 and 4 encode the same protein (isoform 2).
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Lysates are guaranteed
for 6 months from date of receipt.
