Description
Tim 2 is a transmembrane protein that is developmentally expressed at very high levels in the 8-cell embryo and the blastocyst. Tim 2 is expressed on activated lymphocytes and has been implicated to play a critical role in the development of atopic disease and other Th2-biased immune responses. Tim 2 is a transmembrane protein containing an immunoglobulin domain and a mucin-like domain.
