PPAR gamma regulates adipocyte differentiation and binds peroxisome proliferators that include hypolipidemic drugs and fatty acids. It is found in the nucleus and the cytoplasm and is most prevalent in adipose tissue. PPAR gamma has been linked to many diseases such as obesity, diabetes, atherosclerosis, and cancer.

Novus has recently launched a new PPAR gamma antibody, Cat #NBP2-22106, that is validated for use in WB and IHC-P. It is available in 0.1ml and a 25ul trial size, as well as a...

Cell Cycle Checkpoints and Cancer

P2Y2, also known as P2Y purinoceptor 2, belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor family. This family has several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity, which overlaps in some cases, for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. P2Y2 is responsive to both adenosine and uridine nucleotides and therefore acts as a receptor for both ATP and UTP. As result, P2Y2 plays a role in the activation of the phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. P2Y2 may also participate in control of...

New Factor VIII Antibody

Factor VIII is an essential blood clotting protein.  Upon injury, thrombin catalyzes factor VIII into an active form (factor VIIIa), which then associates with factor IXa.  This complex converts factor X into factor Xa, resulting in the amplification phase of coagulation.

Novus has recently launched a new Factor VIII antibody, catalog number...

New Product Offering: MUC1 Antibody

Mucin 1, or Muc1, is a large cell surface mucin glycoprotein involved with cell adhesion and tumor progression.  Mucins line the epithelial cells of many organs and protect them from pathogen infection.  Muc1 is often overexpressed certain cancers, including colon, breast, lung, ovarian, and pancreatic.

Novus now offers another Muc1 antibody, catalog number NB120-22711 which is...

Anti-CD74 monoclonal antibody
The HLA-DR associated invariant chain, CD74, facilitates synthesis of MHC II by stabilizing the MHC molecule via temporarily occupying the peptide binding cleft.  Novus’ anti-human CD74, like all of our antibodies, is tested in multiple applications to confirm specificity as well as ensure performance in each application.  It is available conjugated to 15 different fluorophores to facilitate the design of optimal multicolor panels with our other antibodies.

Anti-HLA-G
Like other MHC molecules which exist at the interface...
