Background

The GPR176 gene is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family and is described as an orphan receptor. It works as cell surface receptors involved in various responses such as to hormones, growth factors, and neurotransmitters. The protein encoded by the GPR176 gene is 515 amino acids long at nearly 57 kDA in mass. GPR176 is involved with GPCRs.
