715-IC) was serially diluted and captured by Mouse Anti-Human ICAM‑3/CD50 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # BBA15) coated on a Clear Polystyrene Microplate (Catalog # DY990). Goat Anti-Human ICAM‑3/CD50 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF813) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998)" class="big_lightbox" target="_blank">
All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, contain 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. This protein is constitutively and abundantly expressed by all leucocytes and may be the most important ligand for LFA-1 in the initiation of the immune response. It functions not only as an adhesion molecule, but also as a potent signalling molecule. ICAM 3 is the major ligand for LFA-1 in the resting state.
