Description

FER is a tyrosine kinase that has been implicated in the regulation of myeloid differentiation. It is expressed predominantly in mature hematopoietic cells of the granulocytic and monocytic lineage, and has been shown to be expressed in vascular endothelial cells. FER has recently been implicated in granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukin-3 and erythropoietin signal transduction.
