Background

SUSD1 is a gene that codes for a protein with three isoforms, with lengths of 747, 757, and 747 amino acids and weights of approximately 83, 85, and 83 kDa respectively. Current studies are being done on diseases and disorders related to this gene including cleft lip/palate and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. SUSD1 has also been shown to have interactions with ATF7IP and UBC.
