NB300-127 is useful for Western blot and immunohistochemistry. Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence was reported in scientific literature (PMID 22285480). NOTE: One should see a band at ~120 kD in Western Blot. Some tissues have a form that also runs at ~160 kD.
Theoretical MW
108.5 kDa. Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Background
The expression and protein levels of the Na(+)/Ca(2+) exchanger (NCX-1) vary during heart development and in response to changes in thyroid hormone levels (1). The expression of the NCX-1 gene is two-fold higher in the hearts of fetal versus adult mice. In addition, NCX-1 mRNA and protein levels were upregulated in hypothyroidic hearts. In hyperthyroidic hearts this response was reversed, however.

FAQs for Sodium Calcium Exchanger 1/NCX1 Antibody (NB300-127). (Showing 1 - 2 of 2 FAQs).
Has NB300-127 been validated on mouse? If yes, do you have any WB images for Mouse tested by NB300-127?
NB300-127 has not been tested in mouse, but it has been tested in rabbit. Reactivity assumed based on sequence identity to a wide variety of mammalian species. Since rat (isoform 1) and mouse NCX1 have 100% identical sequences, there is a high chance you would be able to use it for mouse samples too.
Regarding the WB image on datasheet of NCX1 antibody (6H2) (NB300-127) , can you confirm if lane 2 is a rabbit heart sample? In addition, can you provide the dilution fold and loading mount used to obtain this image? Lastly, would you happen to know if the sample was tested under reducing and denaturing conditions?
Yes, lane 2 in the blot image of NCX1 antibody (6H2) (NB300-127) is from rabbit heart. This image was obtained by testing #NB300-127 at a dilution of 1:1000 in reducing and denaturing conditions.
