• Application Notes: Immunohistochemistry Formalin-fixed: 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10mM Tris with 1mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.

Background

HPV16 is an ATP-dependent DNA helicase required for initiation of viral DNA replication. It forms a complex with the viral E2 protein. The E1-E2 complex binds to the replication origin which contains binding sites for both proteins. HPV16, in comparison to HPV types 6 and 11, is more often associated with malignant genital cancers in humans. This antibody is of value in monitoring the progress of HPV infection from benign lesions to invasive cancer.
