Sample: DIV9 rat E18 primary hippocampal neuron cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: Histamine stained by Histamine antibody (NBP3-13403) diluted at 1:500. Red: Tau, stained by Tau antibody [GT287] diluted at 1:500. Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI.

Dot Blot: Histamine Antibody [NBP3-13403] - Dot blot analysis of 100 ng BSA-conjugated Histamine, using Histamine antibody (NBP3-13403) at 1:4000, 1:8000, 1:16000 and 1:32000.

ELISA: Histamine Antibody [NBP3-13403] - ELISA plate is coated with 100 uL of Histamine-carrier protein conjugate at 10 ug/mL. The coated ligand is detected with Histamine antibody (NBP3-13403) at concentrations ranging from 440 ng/mL down to 1.6 ng/mL. Rabbit IgG antibody (HRP) (NBP2-19301) is diluted at 1:2,000 and used to detect the primary antibody.

Background

Histamine is located in mast cells, endocrine cells of the gut, blood cells and in some cells of the peripheral and central nervous system. Histamine is a potent vasodilator when secreted by mast cells found in various tissues as a result of allergic hypersensitivity or inflammation. Histamine causes running nose, sneezing and itching, and narrows the airways in the lungs. In the central nervous system, Histamine is putative neurotransmitter. In the brain, its highest content has been found in the hypothalamus and in certain areas of the mesencephalon.
