Description
SPRR3, also known as Small proline-rich protein 3, consists of a 169 amino acid isoform that is 18 kDa, and is involved in the surrounding and protection of keratinocytes. Disease research on the protein is currently being conducted with ichthyosis vulgaris, psoriasis, eosinophilic esophagitis, verrucous carcinoma, periodontitis, esophageal cancer, eczema, tonsillitis, and skin disease. SPRR3 is linked to several biological processes, including epidermis development, wound healing, and keratinocyte differentiation, in which it interacts with other proteins, such as IVL, EVPL, NFKBIA, and LOR.
