Description
The BTB/POZ gene family shares a conserved BTB/POZ protein-protein interaction motif at the N terminus that mediates homodimer or heterodimer formation. NAC1, a member of this family, has been found to be overexpressed in ovarian cancer. This protein appears to play a critical role in tumorigenesis and in the growth and survival of tumor cells, and Nac1 antibodies are therefore useful for cancer research.
