Description

ch-TOG, also known as CKAP-5, is a microtubule-associated protein that is involved in microtubule dynamics required for mitotic spindle formation. Specifically, chTOG protects kinetochore microtubules from depolymerization and plays an important role in centrosomal microtubule assembly. ch-TOG is typically overexpressed in tumor cells, may therefore be associated with cancer development.

ch-TOG antibodies are useful tools for cytosleletal research and for some cancer studies.
