| Application Notes |
This antibody has been assayed by ELISA for the detection of streptavidin in a standard ELISA using Peroxidase as a reporter. A working dilution of 1:10,000 to 1:400,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Optimization of the concentration in immunoassays should be performed by the researcher. |

Notes
Streptavidin Antibody Biotin Conjugated was prepared from monospecific antiserum by delipidation, defibrination, salt fractionation and ion exchange chromatography. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-biotin, anti-Rabbit Serum and Streptavidin
Store vial at 4C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Background
Streptavidin is a tetrameric protein purified from Streptomyces sp. that binds very tightly to the vitamin biotin with a Kd of ~ 10-14 mol/l. The high affinity recognition of biotin and biotinylated molecules has made streptavidin one of the most important components in diagnostics and laboratory kits.
Limitations
This product is for research use only and is not approved for use in humans or in clinical diagnosis. Primary Antibodies are
