Background

The C9orf100 (ARHGEF39) gene codes for a protein whose main function is to encourage cell proliferation. It exists in four isoforms: isoform 1 is 335 amino acids long and 38 kDA, isoform 2 is 299 amino acids long at nearly 34 kDA, isoform 3 is 186 amino acids in length at 21 kDA, and isoform 4 is 305 amino acids long at 34 kDA. ARHGEF39 has been known to interact with various genes such as DVL2, HAX1, UBC, and RBPMS.
