RCAN3 (RCAN family member 3), binds to the domain of calcineurin A and inhibits calcineurin-dependent transcriptional responses. It is thought that RCAN3 may have a role in central nervous system development. Disease research is currently being studied with relation to RCAN3 and Down syndrome, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, endometrial adenocarcinoma, lymphocytic leukemia, pharyngitis, Alzheimer's Disease, and adenocarcinoma.
