RBBP6 Antibodies Launched by Novus Biologicals

Retinoblastoma binding protein 6 (RBBP6) is involved in apoptosis and cell growth research.  Novus Biologicals launched two new antibodies to RBBP6, made to different immunogen sequences within the human RbBP6 protein.

Novus' new RBBP6 antibodies (catalog numbers NBP1-49535 and NBP1-49542) are polyclonal antibodies made in rabbit that cross-react with human and mouse.  Both of Novus' RBBP-6 antibodies are useful for immunoprecipitation, and NBP1-49535 is also useful for Western blot analysis.  By Western blot, RbBP6 recognizes a band at approximately 200kDa.

RBBP6 is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase which promotes ubiquitination of YB1, thus leading to its degradation. RBBP6 antibodies are useful for studying the p53 pathway as RBBP6 may promote the assembly of the p53/TP53-MDM2 complex, resulting in increase of MDM2-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of p53/TP53, thus leading to both apoptosis and cell growth.

Novus provides a wide variety of apoptosis research products that can be viewed here. All products are 100% guaranteed to work in the species and applications listed on the datasheet, and Novus' Innovator's Reward Program encourages researchers to test Novus products in new and novel applications.
