Background

Glucose and lipid levels in postmenopausal women are related to the obesity gene FTO. Interestingly, growing evidence shows that there may be a correlation between lipid metabolism in breast cancer progression, especially in postmenopausal women. Analysis of FTO and INSIG1 could be an indicator for postmenopausal propensity towards lipid metabolism issues, elevated body mass and insulin disregulation.
